MiND-H – Reporting

One of the main goals of MiND is to receive data that can be used for research and/or evaluation purposes in anonymized form. The submitted data is in the care of SGNOR and handled by SCRED. A request for anonymized data can be submitted to SGNOR.

The data submitted were meticulously validated by clarifying outliers and anomalies with each survey source to ensure accuracy.

Dataset 2019 – Survey 2021

Due to the Covid pandemic our MiND-H core group emergency doctors and hospitals were overloaded. The survey questionnaire took longer than anticipated. We were able to launch the survey on March first of 2021, and the data requested was from the year 2019.

Categories for comparison

The grouping in categories allows for comparison. We use the number of inpatient admissions per year plus the HSM-Trauma as a category.

Clinic Type Categorization

N yes %
HSM-Trauma 12 13%
≥ 6’000 pat. 18 19%
≥ 3’000 pat. 25 26%
≥ 1’500 pat. 23 24%
< 1’500 pat. 17 18%

Definition pat..: Number of inpatient admissions per year

Categorization of emergency department based on „inpatient transfers“ per year is a dynamic value reflecting workload.

Categorization of beds, is a value that does not necessarily reflect workload, meaning how often one bed is used (turnover).

MiND Organigramm

MiND is a project from SGNOR. SGNOR is one of the four founding organizations of SCRED and has commissioned SCRED for the project execution. SGNOR has the patronat and guarantees at its best knowledge the handling of submitted data and the distribution of anonymized data.

Currently the project is a pilot project and is developped iteratively. As is the nature with any pilot, needs and use cases evolve and get addressed carefully in agreement with SGNOR.

The knowledge acquired through this pilot project will contribute to the IES-NextGeneration (IES-NG) system by armasuisse/KSD.
